Where I'm currently located there are quite a few active duty Military. When I get a chance I chat with them. So far everyone of them has told me zero side effects from the shot on. Probably harmless saline. I have heard about others not so lucky. Civilians are plentiful with side effects. Seemingly never ending with just the two shots.

So to your point it certainly doesn't surprise me they are covering up the wounded.
