I wouldn't say it's normalising. The article is about a recent wave in cannibalism stories and it's explicitly written that it's disgusting many times and that they are repulsed by it while they speculate over why the disgusting story line is gaining popularity.

If anything, I'd say or was promoting veganism more than anything else because they mentioned going vegan over the thought a few times and kept pointing out that the whole crew for the show is vegan and everyone thinks the whole thing is gross. Author included.
