I was a goth as a teenager, raised Catholic and lost faith but remained agnostic and believed in good and evil. Got deep into the occult and extreme metal music which tends to be very anti-religion and anti-christian. Even so, I still held the values instilled in me by my parents; working hard, the nuclear family, having and raising kids, getting married, and simply just being a good person.
Starting a few years back I began to notice that most the people that were socialist, anarchist, anti-natalist, anti-children, narcissistic and self serving, and just simply wayward and often miserable souls were almost all into the occult or were "witches" who hated Christianity.
It made me think the correlation wasn't just a coincidence, and it's getting more and more obvious as the world falls deeper into chaos. All the lefty nut jobs screaming about abortion, all the people that hate kids, the ones that are pushing gender theory and grooming young children are mostly all secular or into the occult.
I believe Kat Von D saw this trend as well and having a young child gave her a new perspective and allowed her to snap out of her old ways.
Ruminating on it, it made sense. The tenets of Leveyan Satanists, even though they claim to not actually believe in Satan as a deity, lead people down a path of hedonism and narcissism. If you look at Satanic clothing brands like Blackcraft (guilty of still loving the aesthetic) they promote things like "live for yourself" and "no gods". As a whole Satanism and the occult promote selfishness and pleasure seeking, living only for yourself as your own god with no sacrifice or regard for others. It's no wonder so many them are childless and cringe at the thought of having kids, because it would mean sacrificing for the good of another, not "living for yourself."
When everyone on the side of evil tends to all fall under a certain umbrella, you start examining what side you really want to be on and if the side you are on really speaks to who you are and what you believe. Because of that I no longer practice or dabble in anything occult, though I still research and educate myself because knowing your enemy is important.
There are two paths to choose from. One is "service to self", the other is "service to others". Everything dark is service to self and is the path to destruction.
