Reading that headline I had a sudden blast from the past in the form of a 1972 novel called "Triage." In it, secret government agencies had a plan to rid society of unproductive members, and as I recall, there was a chapter devoted to homeless people, druggies, and folks in nursing homes. Interesting read, but that was DECADES ago. Probably can't even find it in print anymore.

This one? Looks like it's out of print, but for some reason hardcover copies are $100+ and paperback is $40. Sounds like a good read.
Holy moly....yup, that's it. Interesting novel, but I wouldn't pay $100 for it. Decent novel but not a GREAT novel.
