Mueller is a puppet.

It doesn't work that way with "both are clean" or "both are dirty". Sometimes you have alliances. It's politics.

Trump rubbed shoulder with people who bragged they were "best friends with Trump" and he played along. That doesn't mean its true. In DC you have people you work with. Connections are everything.

It goes back to Barr's father. Donald Barr worked in the OSS (CIA precursor) and Bill Barr worked as a Chinese Analysis in the CIA for several years. They had many "friends" who weren't friends. It's just part of that kind of world.

I wouldn't oversimplify things and assume that because Barr and Mueller's family are said to "get along" by MSM reports that it means it's true.

Who said it? Who spread that story? Who didn't correct it?

If the MSM says you're "best friends" should Barr cry "NO! I'M NOT FRIENDS WITH HIM!" He'd look like a jerk if he did. The best option is just to nod and say "Uh, sure."

The same thing has happened with Trump. Media tried to paint some of his biggest backstabbers as "trusted" friends. Trump doesn't say no. You never win when you say no. You just go along with it.

So I'd say "Either both dirty or both clean" is false thinking. That's not how politics in DC work. Heck, that's not even how it works at family reunions where you might be "friends" with the uncle no one else likes. Just because you associate with them does not mean you agree with them.
