I find it a curious experience to be denigrated and even attacked in this community when one expresses opinion that is contrary to the popular one. I mean, case in point. I mean, I wasn't shilling (obviously.) I just didn't see the air q, and then proceeded to offer reasoning etc, why I reached my conclusion.
Shills are shills, but there seems to be a lot of angst sometimes for some folks when one expresses a view they don't agree with.
That said, I come off poorly on a regular basis, until there's an actual engagement and discussion, and then it seems to get pretty well. Except if the other person is just abusive, as is sadly, sometimes the case. Fortunately, not too often, tho.
But that's the hard part: we're constantly flooded with an influx of shills and people trying to sow chaos, due to what TGA is about. It's not always easy to discern the truth from the half-truths, lies, omissions of truth, etc.
The downvote button isn't an "I disagree" button either, but, just like with plebbit, it's sometimes used that way, as is my instance here. I don't typically do that, but I really didn't follow your logic for holding that opinion, along with what was written and how it came across.
It's OK to agree to disagree and that should be said more often on here. But you're also right that people can be attacked for holding a non-popular/non-accepted viewpoint too. Namecalling and strawman attacks should never get to that point....but it is the internet after all lmao.
