Nothing self-serving about the truth, true. But when it is self-serving contrivance, no. Not the truth at all. How could you ever prove---what, exactly? The continued presence of an ancient tribe of Israel? Who would know? How would you prove it objectively? How would you greet the world with "You know---Israelites, Hebrews, and Jews are really three distinctive and exclusive peoples"? Write a book about it. Become famous.
