Honestly, same. Even as a metalhead I can only really stomach metal songs/bands that promote Christian values and give glory to God. Ive noticed lately that I've inadvertently dumped a lot of the old metal music I listened to. A lot of it was just sex, drugs, partying, etc. Some bands I give a pass to cuz I enjoy the music and it's not satanic in nature or promoting degeneracy openly. Most modern mainstream music, especially pop, is trash. Lyrically garbage and musically lazy. But that's just my opinion
More power to ya. Cornell ain't garbage noises, though. Check out "like a stone" or "I am the highway was a lot more heavy rock in the band sound garden early on, but more grunge in audioslave.

I always thought both of those songs had a Christian or at least a God-seeking bent to them.
They do, right? Something very pure about them in a way.
My radio broke in my car maybe 7 years ago. I never replaced it and even though I have a car with a radio now I've never turned it on.
I always just stream music from my phone. Radio all plays poppy trash, shitty hip hop, and nonsense in a sea of ads.
The major labels bought out all the stations, basically, and therefore all play the same trash.
Yeah plus same 10 songs per day. I listen to my phone music or documentaries when the sound level is done right
