I think death is breaking out of a physical host. Converting into pure thought.

Think of how much power your imagination has over your physical state.

I believe God created the earth as a training ground for a new being to gain experience.

That's why we only need 60 to 100 years.

After that.

Our mental state takes over.

Some books support this view.
