Funny, asked my doctor (actually a substitute) about quercetin and he hadn't heard about it. He googled it while I was there and the first article he found, was a study saying it could cause cancer. He therefore recommended against quercetin.
A friends coworker was put on cholesterol meds, and my friend talled him out of it. Convinced him to give a supplement called Sytrinol a try first. At the coworkers next appointment, the doctor raved about how low the cholesterol was and how the meds worked. It was then that coworker dropped the truth on the doc, stunning him. After mumbling something derogatory about natural supplements, the coworker asked him, "Don't you even want to know what I'm taking?" He said the doc replied, "Nope." and walked out.
Interesting, am taking statins myself for elevated cholesterol and feel like there are many bad side effects. Have to research this sytrinol, never heard of it before. Thanks for info...
Don’t take statins. They reduce cholesterol in your body which is what the body uses to repair itself. It will irreparably harm you brain and destroy your joints at a minimum.
Yes, i had a blood clot in my heart last year and have been put on statins (among all the usual heart drugs) to lower the cholesterol level. I do feel muscle pains (specially around my chest, arms and legs) and have gotten a nasty inflammation of my guts.
I don't know for sure, but I believe the statins could be the cause of these side effects, and I am searching for an alternative. I just looked at the black seed oil, but it comes with a counter indication when taking blood thinner medicine, so it's not so easy...

Makes me wonder if google is smart enough to know who is searching and adjust the good or bad accordingly.. or maybe that doc is full of sh**
... perhaps both?
