As once a dejected liberal who have found himself here, I can say some of us are likely just "given up" on some dating scenes do to the crazy you have mentioned. I know a few friends who are still single cause they're concerned getting into an abusive relationship over the most pedantic stuff.

And yeah, most of them crave that classical relationship/family experience. They're just not wanting to go out there and find it because how many want to hunt them for sport.
