I don't think he's considered worse than those you mentioned...All are TRAITORS.

The Military has a Code of Honor, Ethics & Pride. No Name Violated all these and BETRAYED his Oath, Country and Shipmates. They are 'Brothers in Arms' and Betrayal is the ultimate. It was especially evil because he pretended to be honorable. Like Stolen Valor. He didn't deserve to be called by his name. He was beneath Contempt.

He deserved execution.
