My theory is this.

Pelosi didn’t care about the fall of Hong Kong, so she probably wouldn’t care about the fall of Taiwan.

China and Pelosi are allies against America’s best interests, so China would not act against Pelosi’s interests.

China empowers and gives props to their puppets/allies, so [China with Pelosi] are creating this fake international drama, whereas China is giving Pelosi a chance pretend she is tough on China, but we all know Pelosi is 100% weaksauce.
