Ohhhh. I remember that too and Roy Blunt leaving after same - the inauguration with his hands behind his back. I’ve watched this dozens of times and notice a USSS guy in caramel coat comes out first and ushers him left while others all go right, except Mitch McConnell who sheepishly follows Blunt and wifey. There is no way you could walk like that for long, especially on a cold day, with a chance of slipping. As an older person, you just want to protect yourself from falling. And the wifey is virtually hanging off his arm. You couldn’t walk far, with her weight dragging, unless his hands were secured. Or maybe I’m just a conspiracy theorist. 😀.
