For the same reason you would if a group of people were continuously killing your loved ones, cutting them into pieces and selling their body parts.

Wrath: retributory punishment for an offense or a crime : divine chastisement.

I don't hate the wolf for attacking my animals and family but I would certainly kill it to preserve my homestead and my family.
