It sounds like a crazy conspiracy theory. And people don't want to be associated with it. Even though Church documented it as true.

People have a very difficult time dealing with the idea that government officials HATE them, have CONTEMPT for them and wish them HARM, even DEATH. They just can't believe that could be true.

The history of war should be enough to demonstrate the truth of that. The 20th century was a century of slaughter. Who did it? Governments.
