9 Amphibious vehicles my arse! Check out the sloppy paint job, the obscure beach, Taiwan in the distance, no strategic value ... (www.dailymail.co.uk) posted 2 years ago by kula 2 years ago by kula +10 / -1 12 comments share 12 comments share save hide report block hide replies
The Taiwan Strait is about 112 miles across. Are amphibious tanks capable of crossing that much water? .... with high seas and dangerous waves? ....with Taiwan on full military alert? Something tells me "no."
One mile less than the length of the Overseas Highway to Key West. I'm thinking not bloody likely.
These would immediately sink.
More likely they would make it about 2 miles off the coast and THEN sink... due to high waves or incoming fire from Taiwanese forces.
The Chinese would be more successful at invading the US mainland at this point.
