Same as the flu.
Chicken soup does not help you recover. It's for return to normalcy. When taste and smell are muted by cold or flu, the saltiness of chicken soup is more likely to be tasted, and then will help you feel like you're getting better.
I remember getting my taste back as a kid, after the flu. Everything I could finally taste made me more excited to keep getting better.
My spouse and I lost our taste and smell for a couple weeks, everything tasted metallic. A pharmacist friend told me to use a nasal spray until smell returned and could taste again. We did Flonase morning and night - it took about 4 or 5 days to return but some things still smell a little off 7 months later.
I didn't catch it. No sense of taste or smell for about 2.5 years now. I just got used to it and went on. Finally started a regimen of ivermectin. Still nothing.
It was a good 3 months before I started tasting food again. Smell was fine though
Took me about 3/4 months to fully regain my sense of smell/taste.
Never got the BS flu, no shot. just about everyone I know that got the shots....got "covid".
I lost smell, could still taste basic things like salt, sweet, sour. It came back rather suddenly several months later.
i haven't regained my sense of smell and it's been over a year since i was sick. not sure if it was ChinaFlu or not... i didn't and won't get tested.
I can smell when i take a shit and faintly smell my cologne, but other than that I can't really smell anything.
Food tastes ok but something's missing.
I'm with you two years later foods ok but, still not the same.

It slowly came back over a few months. Supposedly Ivermectin can speed that up though.
No, but certain nasal sprays cause it.
If they contain zinc.
I lose my sense of taste and smell every time I use Tylenol. When I stop, it returns.
Anyone still not able to smell or taste after 2 years? Suggestions beyond what is provided below?

Maybe so, it was just for a week or so and seemed to do the job. Not regular users.
