If Russia went after Ukraine with the same veracity as in WWII it would have been over. Putin is showing great restraint in not going scorched Earth. I don't think China would hold back, they have too much economic clout. You can't sanction China, where will everyone get their cheap TV's? They get away with slaughtering their own wholesale and the West turns a blind eye for the cheap Amazon chattel.
