What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.

BL was a beast then as he still is. His Multiquarium Big Band did an album of Jaco's and WR's music and it is fantastically arranged and played with BL playing bass.

What do you think of Tony Levin (specifically as in his work with King Crimson, Peter Gabriel)?
I'd have to look into him. I'm sure I've heard his playing, but I am not too familiar with King Crimson or Gabriel. You like it?
Yeah, he does stuff on the Chapman stick that reminds me of Jaco's fretless type stuff (especially when he had one that was half fretless - it burned in a barn fire IIRC). He also has these "funk fingers" that are like little drumsticks for the strings (he has at least one bass with just 3 strings specifically for these).
Peter Gabriel is pop but good, very talented guy, but I have to be in the mood and often am not. KC is great IMO but they are not for everyone. They do things like going from a lush soundscape to full on assault.
I'd nose around on YouTube, you can probably find plenty of clips of the guy both with bands and his own projects etc.
Just clicked the link. I love this music. Why have I never heard this?. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome!
