"They came up to reassert the reality, the context of my life, that was constantly being distorted by the so-called "tolerant" people. The irony has never escaped me... It meant so much that my cousin Jack, at age ninety-one, would come in at a time of difficulty to rescue me from the so-called "tolerant" people."
