Yes, it was worth it. Things do suck lately, but I'm thankful every day that good men and women fought for the wonderful life we had, still have (relatively) and are able to recognize, pursue and fight for. (There ARE places that have never "had it good", so they're more willing to accept whatever tyranny is thrust upon them because "life sucks" is all they know.) And, if they hadn't fought, this country - and the world - would have fallen decades ago.
Giving up the good fight means bowing to tyranny and that is unacceptable.
