Back in the day, Gloria Vanderbilt came out with what were some of the first "designer jeans". Her slogan was "Gloria Vanderbilt's Bottoms are the Tops!" Knowing what I know now, I would not be surprised if there was a double meaning to that slogan, referencing her sons' availability for abuse.
