I’d love to hear any other viable solutions.

I disagree in so much as I do not think we will ever have a “neighbor shooting at neighbor” situation.
We’re too geographically intermixed and the delineation of sides are too messy right now for that.
That said, I believe we are already in a civil war, and the history books will eventually recognize the start of it being between 2016 and 2020.
It’s a Cold War. And information war. A psychological war. Right now, Trump and his team recognize that it’s a war, and so do many high level people on the other side, but many local leaders and most civilians still don’t realize that it’s a war.
It’s also not a war of “conservative vs Democrat”, but one of “freedom / MAGA vs tyranny” and most republicans are on the side of tyranny.
That’s what’s going to make this tricky. In time, more and more people are going to recognize that we’re at war, and will begin fighting it as such. However, even as this happens, many people will still misidentify the delineation of sides as “left vs right”, but this will become clearer to everyone in time.
There may be some violence, but generally violence will be counter-productive up until the point that we reach a critical mass of support. At that point, I’m not sure how things go down, but I genuinely don’t believe this will go beyond psy-Ops.
Which doesn’t mean there won’t be pain - obviously. A war is still a war, even if no shots are fired. But I think we’re still in early phases, and that we - all of us here - are in the best position to help weather the psy-Ops, and to help guide normies as they awaken.
