Libraries see themselves as the bastion of knowledge against humanities recession into ignorance and strife. No joke, they really do view themselves like this.

These piggies helped the "vote" a couple of years ago to build a NEW (already have a library) $22M library. It's a monstrosity that I hope is never finished. $9M is from a "grant" which they think is pennies from heaven. Grants are nothing more than other people's stolen tax money. This grant shite needs to stop yesterday.
Not all grants are federal, but yes, the federal and state specific ones need to stop.
There are lots of grants that are fantastic and legit, like scollorships for private schools, and colleges. Those are frequently funded almost entirely through alumni donations.
Others are business grants setup to help the community or needy, but even some of those are forced by the city/county/state, so is false charity.
There is the strategy. Start DEFUNDING things that are a problem. School board being trouble...defund, city council troubling...defund, 2 can play that game.
Take them away from the libtards or close them. Give the books away that are useful, and burn the devilish shit they want your kids to see. If they love their devish shit so much just toss them in I

What I WISH we could do here.....the commies are running everything here and the majority of the numbnuts who live here don't pay attention to anything.
Threaten to put in new leadership. Take a shift on the library board. Make friends with the board. Library directors will fall in line or be replaced. Be prepared for them to fall on their swords defending "freedom of speech", they dig that crap.
I like this fight but I would rather see patriots constantly checking the bad books out and leaving all the good ones for the poor kids with bad parents to discover.
Bad idea. This gives bad books good reader and checkout demographics. These are factored into what the community is interested in, and the library should therefore divert funds to for future purchases.
Better to not only lodge a formal complaint, but get community involvement into picketing, and getting community action, like the OP mentioned.
Libraries are very much image and relevance oriented right now. Threaten either and you should get traction. Get people to seriously talk if libraries are needed anymore, and many will at least consider capitulation.
Get them in the sights of a community values issue, you've got real traction.
