Totally agree with your take on religion. All perversions of the Word for one gain or another. I'm just coming back to God now after years of lapsing because I couldn't understand why the church (Roman Catholic) made you feel guilty for being alive and the church experience was so dour. I get reverence, but geez. Add to that the Clergy Response Teams and I'm out.
