Gas vehicles from many decades ago are still operating.

Electric vehicles are temporary.

Homes from many decades ago are still standing.

Pods are temporary.

What do they mean when they say you will own nothing?

We haven't had gas powered cars in the UK since the war. Most cars run on petrol, diesel, LPG (I suppose you could call that "gas") or batteries.
