I was on a nuke cruiser in the mid 80s and we stopped in Bremerton for 3 month yard period.

I couldn't believe the hostility from the yardbirds, I almost got in a fight with one of them. The hostility was mostly focused on them being anti-military.

Afterwards, we had a meeting with the Weapons Officer on our ship and a representative from a the shipyard.
