After reading this article and the comments, we must stop referring to catholics who promote abortions as devout catholics. Sure, as an infant they may have been baptized into the faith but I wonder how much religious education they had. To be a DEVOUT catholic you have to follow the church laws. If you occasionally slip and sin, there is the sacrament of confession. But if you are defiant, in essence you have left the church. I would say they ABANDONED the faith. People like this should be referred to as FORMER catholics.

True believers of Jesus Christ, God and the Holy Spirit have nothing to fear, however these people are not true believers. God requires one thing, just one thing. Although we may sin he wants us to live a good and honest life but even the best slip. Most people in these positions have sold their souls. They hold no true faith at all. You can say anything but God knows what lays on your heart. With that being said, the one thing he requires above all else, "Do Not Deny Me". It is the one thing the devil can't beat and the reason God will win.
No, the one line the devil can't step to is the cross. God requires obedience, enabled by His grace (favor and power).
Its far more than acknowledgment, form, posture, going to church, etc. Unfortunately, most have denied the requirement of the law and use grace as a "get out of jail free" card. It doesn't really work that way and those who insist it does are in for a bad time.
Where did you learn this stuff? Simply curious.
