Wondered the same thing myself. The big thing here where I live (just south of Louisville KY) was the Breonna Taylor case. Thing is, she died March 2020 but the protests didn't start here until AFTER George Floyd died. Things were nuts for a while, lot of places got smashed up/looted (the CVS down the street from our two favorite concert venues in Louisville JUST got rid of their plywood boards in the last month or two) And just like that, I'd say around last spring/summer the protests/riots just went ... poof. Disappeared. Now just this past Fri, 4 former or current officers involved in the case have been brought up on FEDERAL charges ( Source here )
