Unfortunately this doesn't shock me in the slightest. I refused all medicial suggestions myself after my cancer diagnosis. (Got the removal surgery due to internal bleeding but that's it). Everyone i know who followed the drs were dead at the 18mth-2year mark, some as early as 6 mths. Its bloody awful.
