DMSO can be great, however be aware that it will carry substances right through your skin and into your tissue & bloodstream. Anyone using this should do your own due diligence. It can do harm if not used properly.
Don’t hesitate to use it but be very careful. It will carry substances after application for some time. Example: Don’t get it on your hands, then 30 min later, come into contact with something bad for you (whatever that might be).
EG: washing hands with soap after DMSO contact - the chemicals in the soap might immediately get carried through your skin into tissue and blood if DMSO is on your hands.
Try to use sterile cotton for application, don’t get it anywhere else other than the application site.
Brilliant stuff, it restored lack of feeling after nerve damage following surgery. Now I am using it in my eye: the vitreous humor was disintegrating and resulted in blurred vision. I was told there was no remedy except a surgical procedure which was risky. Added it to my eye drops and there has been a marked improvement. Absolutely brilliant. I am stocking up in case it gets banned in the UK.
Used dmso for years with horses lumps and bumps and quite often would use it on myself . Have bottles of it here ,it's great for so many things. Actually just finished putting it on hubby's knees before he went to bed and I read this.
Research it ,it's got some interesting uses. Can be used topically or internally, just mix it with a carrier or it's too strong. :)
You don't have to i use it on my 90 year old Dads back and it is brilliant. Don't dilute it just a few drops on a cotton wool ball.
Also used it on arthritis in my finger that was interfering with my Guitar playing and it did the trick. Alas i now have no excuse for my bad playing ;-(
I have a golden retriever with a ton of lumps, normal for that breed. Do you think it would help the lumps and what do you recommend as far as dosage for a 85 pound dog. Thank you for your help!!!
Just going from what people posted: only make up what you are going to use as it gets smelly, don't mix it with anything toxic cos it facilitates transport through tissue and blood, either a few drops on a cotton wool ball or a few drops in a carrier oil like coconut oil or almond oil. Rub it onto the lump. I'd do one area at a time so you can monitor progress.
Thank you very much- most are internal where you can't really touch them but you see the swelling. I think I will try couple drops in his food and see if the swelling decreases. He does have a couple that you are able to touch that I will try a cotton ball on those sections. I just don't want to do too much and have a bad effect as an outcome. The dog doesn't seem bothered by them, maybe a little in his gait. Thanks again Fren 😊

Please research.
Up doot for that, it has to be used responsibly. Don't use it too much as you with start to smell of it, its not pleasant.
Thanks. Good to know.

Dang
Thanks for the tip. Gonna use it tonight for sciatic pain. Can’t hurt.
A direct application to the lump?
Few drops on cotton wool ball, or with carrier oil. Might try it on palm ganglion.
Thanks, cat has a small lump on one of the nipples, nothing major, but I want to see it gone.
Nice, thank you. Do you mix it with a carrier oil like almond oil?
Can do or I use coconut oil. If you use it straight it burns a bit.
👍
Oh and only mix what you intend to use immediately or it ends up with a very strong smell.
