Social media is largely a waste of time and a means to collect and sell your data. Our time is limited and we should spend it more wisely. The whole posting of private photo albums, family / relationship issues online is just weird. You can connect with your family members on private messengers / group chats...if they're important to you, there are other ways of staying in touch. why waste your time checking on your old neighbor's new selfies etc? It's only worth it imo for checking info about companies / projects and of course, for (political) news.

It really depends in my view.

I have connected with tons of entrepreneurs who I have never met in person.

A lot to them share good advice about business. Social media all depends on who you are following and why.

Also.. I don’t mind someone using my data to advertise me something I am actually passionate about.

Word of mouth can only go so far.

The problem with data is that the CIA and government is using it to control narratives.

Now that people are more aware of the fake news. Indie journalist is going to be the future of news.
