Document archival and classification issues now looks more like a cover story. Someone at FBI/DOJ thought they struck solid gold with a supposedly rock-solid mole and approved this high risk op to grab perhaps what was supposed to be in the safe.

Showing the empty safe feels a bit like gloating. Now the white hats are dangling the prospect of releasing juicy snippets of vids of the FBI doin' the deed. FBI/DOJ are still mute.
