I remember being at the Beverly Center mall in Beverly Hills and locals saying that there were oil wells hidden in buildings to look like regular structures... a quick search seems to confirm this. So, not too far from Venice. Oddly enough the Beverly Hillbillies struck gold elsewhere and moved to Beverly Hills... Hmmm...
