Apprenticeship will be needed at this point. Given how late in life people are entering the workforce. They need a dose of what work actually is before someone is paying them 60k a year.
Nursing inparticular needs a complete overhaul. Yeah they make decent money, but they work soo many hours they are almost dead by the time they get done with a shift.
Sad part is, Ive worked in several indutried and never have I seen a degree equal a good hire. Its more dependent on if they learn how your company operates and can complete the tasks your company needs. Which is in and of itself an Apprenticeship.
If Hospitals and care facities got rid.of people that provided poor quality and were unreliable it would get better. But in most cases those people that do a terrible job are kept because they cant get replacements. Sad, if quality alone was a metric there would be better nursing.
