this makes sense. No reason why we can't get rid of both though.
I think some people may be confusing spin and trying to play it off with some evil mastermind plan.
They messed up with this raid. It was a HUGE blow to the DOJ/FBI as well as democrats. Dems purely run on illusions of caring and fairness and they DON'T want to have bad pr like this.
Any argument that they're intentionally self-immolating their reputation while simultaneously militarizing the IRS should be disregarded. There's limits to how stupid a plan can be and that's trying for gold.
They failed badly and they're probably desperate. The IRS thing is them on their heels trying to re-establish control through force. It won't work long term. They're thrashing in the quicksand, but only if we keep up the pressure.
