I consider dead people, to be on the same level as my living and breathing relative because they are more alive then ever. I don't worship any wooden idols or graven images, all images I have of the blessed mother are all her with the Holy Father.
I don't think you know what you are talking about, our friends in Heaven, and on earth, can all pray on our behalf. So I suppose maybe you should stop worshiping your friends and family then no? Stop having graven images of them in your house? Doesn't seem like you are following your own rules.
So this story is of a dude, who goes to a median (basically an oracle or witch doctor of sorts) to try and bring up a spirit of someone he knows.
This has absolutely nothing to do with asking for intercession (which would be to petition to God on our behalf. All power comes from the Almighty, I am not sure why you don't seem to grasp that we believe that. The lengths you people will go to try and say we are doing crazy shit is astounding. Your own logic isn't even adding up and you really thought sending me this would change anything without understanding what it was actually saying. Going to another living MAN and asking him to conjure up a spirit that only the Almighty can do and permit, has NOTHING to do with asking for someone else to pray for you. Get real.

So, in order for a dead person to receive prayers, the dead individual has to hear the prayer, possess the power to answer it, and know how to answer it in a way that is best for the individual praying. Only God hears and answers prayer because of His perfect essence and because of what some theologians call His “immanence.” Immanence is the quality of God that causes Him to be directly involved with the affairs of mankind (1 Timothy 6:14-15); this includes answering prayer
Anything to separate you from God, that is the antichrist, brother.
Never mind it was the catholic that killed Joan of Arc, now they pray to her? This doesn't raise any questions with you?
