Heche had a history of mental ane emotional instability, substance abuse, and driving while under the influence.

She was intent on killing herself one way or another and finally did so. Just a reminder that the second accident she had that day was the one that ended up finally killing her.

Heche had already been in an accident scant minutes before and fled the scene as the first one didn't do the job.
