New International Version But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

You don't even get the true meaning of the verse. Peculiar means set apart, set apart from the world. A special possession numbers you as a part of the world.

I have tried over and over. At least now I am reading the Bible daily. Before I wouldn't pick it up.

Is God going to angry because I read a different version of the Bible as opposed to reading at all?
