There are many topics you get angry replies from if you criticize them, "devolution" is another one that has been made "canon". Question everything means everything, but it seems there is quite a bit of tribalism emerging and criticism of popular topics (stickied) is not always welcome.

Are we not for the most part theorizing to fill gaps in our understanding? I don't know of any other way to work through any of it.

Theories, several, observe and collect info, slot it into the appropriate theory and wait tonsee where it all pans out.
