I think the new game is “change your party” and vote for the one the dems tell you to. So if they said vote Murkowski, then, come November the dems would change back to their party and vote for the dem of their choice hoping that the Republicans would vote for the leading republican. This may backfire, not sure, but the dems have a very low percentage voting now as shown in the results, and I suspect it’s cause so many changed parties to push for Murkowski.
It turns out that the primary, which was an open primary btw, saw both Republicans advance in addition to ranked choice voting. Now how many Dems will sit out the race because Mrs. Chesboro is not on the ballot?
