To find an article that pretty much got every single thing wrong is quite the achievement. Logic is logic, there is no amount of refutation that can change that. If the narrative defies logic, it isn't true. It doesn't matter of it is a universally held belief, that still doesn't make it true. Almost 80% of the world believes in a deity, including many a large number of experts in the field and people that have devoted an entire lifetime of study and research. Does this make it true? Not necessarily, because the different groups believe in different Gods. They all can't be correct, can they? Either way, they are the overwhelming majority, and by their own logic, to deny it is to deny "science". Science is the analysis of data and the consideration of all the data. It is poor science to pick and choose the data and discard the rest. Consider all the evidence and retest until you have enough data to determine a consistent pattern. This results in a theory that is continuously tested and analyzed to determine its level of accuracy. Disregarding data because it doesn't fit your theory isn't science, it is dogma. Even the "experts" need to be challenged and questioned, any suggestion otherwise isn't science, it is a religion.
