There were many cases of cannibalism in ww2. Some Germans when they were surrounded by the Russians and starved, those caught were executed by the officers. Japanese were prolific with it in Nanking. Also there were cannibal tribes we worked with against the Japanese. The one as depicted in this film I do not recall hearing. If I didn't know of the others, I'd call it fabricated BS to make a deepstater into a "war hero" like McStain. I still call it sus though.
As far as I was aware. Most of the tribes we worked with had officially dropped the practice. But still kept and maintained the reputation because it intimidated other tribes.
