Didn't get the chance to take a picture, but I saw at least 2 or 3 military jets escorting an airliner in Northern Indiana. Anyone know why this would be the case?

Same…I’m in Lake County. Is the air show this weekend? I’m not a planefag so I wouldn’t know what I saw but it was low and loud.
