IMO this kind of trolling only will work if the person is known for trolling. Trump is known for it, and was plainly obvious in the Dan Goldman tweet.

The recent Maloney one was a little bit less obvious, and anyone unwilling or too lazy to research may just vote for her. Unless their TDS is THAT severe.
