I couldn't agree with you more. This hits the bullseye. It's very good post. The internet seems to provide nothing but Highs and Lows. Some people have expressed the pattern seems to be 3 days of Low (bad news) followed by 1 day of a High (good news). Ever notice this?
Wittingly or unwittingly, basing the day on whether a comment or post gets responded to is pathetic. Yet, I'm sure this is the case with many. If the Internet were to be described, I'd have to say it's like a hole created to which people want to leave their mark. As time goes on this hole gets bigger and bigger until a person finds out they dug themselves a hole they can't or even don't care about getting out of. I had to turn it off and find a hobby to apply my passion to. For me, it was refurbishing machinery and refinishing furniture. I'm tantalized by getting out on the golf course, but haven't done it yet. I suck at golf, but at least I can walk the course and pretend I'm good at it.
You're right, the Internet sucks and it isn't even the same internet that it was years ago. Do you ever feel like the information there is all canned and controlled? Search engines only provide what is deemed politically correct. It's most likely the reason why so many of us ended up here. It's just easier to find information.
