Reinhart is a Magistrate judge so he does not have a lifetime appointment. The threat of putting his corruption on display would be a very effective way of flipping him - he could be literally fired and gone the next day if for no other reason than the optics of "cleaning the court" of a corrupt judge. He's working for one side or the other - we'll have a clearer picture when we see what he allows to be redacted/released for public consumption.
