I was a toddler with asthma. Thank goodness I didn't have sheep for parents like these kids do. The doctor told my mom she was a "hysterical new mother" when she took me back at 10 days old and said "There's something wrong." My parents fought the medical establishment for ten years until they found a general surgeon with a daughter who had the same thing - allergy-triggered asthma, which was then believed to be less than 1% of the population (1950's). That doctor's care and treatments helped me live a normal life.
