I'm seeing a lot of comms from the Deep State False Pastors and Profits all of a sudden about how worried THEY are about the IRS. In NO WAY do I support this 87k IRS army or the IRS at all. I just find it odd that all of a sudden tough talk about Rising Up, Civil Disobedience, the Congregation needs to be armed to protect it's Profit=Cult, is being spoken all of a sudden. Where were THEY before this? What are THEY afraid of? An Audit? What would they find? Where the money has been going? (2nd part in comments)
I don't know which churches are calling for civil disobedience, but the churches Mark Taylor are referring to are the 501c3 churches, AKA the Roman Catholic Church, some other demoionations, and almost everybody on TBN.
Almost every church is a 501c3 church because that’s what they were told they were supposed to do. 🤷♂️
Mark Taylor calls all 501c3 churches sell outs. He's right because a church that truly worships God would pay taxes to the government just as Jesus did.
I was under the impression that non501c3 churches still do not pay taxes. Having reads marks stuff years ago, churches were made tax free by an act of Congress very early on in this country, 1790s possibly? And that is the argument non501c3 churches use to stay tax free. It makes it difficult because getting a tax free bank account or other nonprofit perks often requires the 501c3. The 501c3 also does not say pastors cannot be political. Have you read the text of the 501c3 code? It merely says the majority (51%) of the nonprofits activities cannot be devoted to certain political activities. It seems preaching some ultra nuclear MAGA on Sunday’s should fall well within the guidelines, I would just be against that on theological grounds, for Sunday’s at least, as some take the regulative principle of worship a little too far I think.
To be fair, Jesus had someone pull money out of some fish. He didn't pay some kind of conventionally earned money.
That man was Simon Peter. But the ministry did make money by fishing so it made sense.
